Human Rights Council for India Committed to Safeguarding Human Rights – Chennipati Srikanth

Chennipati Srikanth, the National President of the Human Rights Council for India (HRCI), emphasized the organization’s unwavering commitment to stand by those whose basic human rights have been violated.

Speaking at the inauguration of the HRCI East Godavari district office in Gandhipuram, Rajamahendravaram, on Monday, Srikanth highlighted the organization’s role in providing protection and support to victims at all times.

After lighting the ceremonial lamp, a district meeting was held under the leadership of the district president, K.V.V. Satyanarayana.

During his media address, Srikanth noted that the HRCI is a registered organization with necessary permissions from both the Central and State governments at the national and state levels. He assured that the council would persist in advocating for justice for victims until their rights are fully restored. Srikanth also warned the public to be cautious of fake organizations and individuals claiming to protect human rights.

In outlining future plans, National Convenor B.S. Krishna (Alfa), shared that the HRCI intends to establish schools from LKG to postgraduate levels, as well as orphanages and homes for the elderly. The council also plans to introduce skill development programs and vocational training for women, alongside the establishment of cottage industries. Srikanth proudly noted that in the past two years, the organization had resolved numerous issues for many people, including disputes over land encroachments, pension entitlements, and farmers’ arrears.

He announced that the council plans to open district offices in all 26 districts soon, with executive committees to address regional and human rights-related issues. He urged citizens to approach the district office for any human rights concerns.

District President Satyanarayana echoed the commitment to stand with the poor, farmers, and women in their pursuit of justice. He assured that the HRCI would continue to strive for fairness in their respective areas.

Several key figures attended the event, including HRCI National General Secretary Nandu Narasimha Rao, South India General Secretary and State In-charge M. Surendra, South India Women’s Port Convenor Dr. Anasuri Priyanka, State General Secretary M. Govinda Rao, State Women’s Port President Penumatsa Sridevi Varma, Konaseema District President D. Sivasankara Siva Kumar, State Pensioners’ District President Kosuru Gopalakrishna Murthy, Rajamahendravaram Branch President Konda Sanjeeva Rao, and Dr. Anasuri Padmalatha.
