APUSMA addressing the challenges of Un-aided Schools

Dr. T.K. Visweswara Reddy, Chairman of Rajamahendri Educational Institutions and President of the District Congress, emphasized the need for private educational institutions to prioritize sports alongside academics. He noted that private institutions have earned a reputation for providing quality education, which has garnered public support.

On Monday, the new district executive committee of the Andhra Pradesh Private Un-Aided Schools Management Association (APUSMA) was formed at a meeting held at Rajamahendri International School. The meeting was presided over by T. Nagaratnam, Director of Akshara Sri School and President of Rajamahendri Urban APUSMA.

 

 

 

 

Speaking at the event, Dr. Visweswara Reddy appreciated APUSMA’s efforts in addressing the challenges faced by private educational institutions, noting the organization’s growing reputation at the state level. He added that APUSMA acts as a bridge between private schools and the government. He also announced that sports competitions will soon be organized at the local municipal ground in Rajamahendravaram. Puredla Kalyan Reddy, the newly elected Vice President of APUSMA and District President, highlighted the association’s efforts in voicing the concerns of private schools to the opposition parties before the elections, many of which are now in power.

He mentioned that the Education Minister, Lokesh, had responded positively to their concerns during a recent meeting. A state-level meeting of private school managements is scheduled to be held in Vijayawada in October, where Minister Lokesh will be present.

Rajanagaram MLA Bathula Balaramakrishna, who attended as the chief guest to the event, promised his support in resolving the issues faced by private schools through government channels. He honored the newly elected district executive members and APUSMA’s leadership during the event. The program saw the participation of APUSMA office bearers and representatives from various constituencies, including Rajamahendri Urban, Rajamahendri Rural, Nidadavolu, Kovvuru, Gopalapuram, Anaparthi, and Rajanagaram. Key office bearers included Honorary President N. Bhaskara Ramayya, Secretary P. Ramakrishna Raju, Treasurer P. Suresh, Vice Presidents Ambati Srinivasa Rao, Simipitha Krishna, Joint Secretary Srimurthy, and Advisors M.S. Challarao, among others.
