Gautami Eye Hospital, recognized for providing exceptional eye care services to patients, was praised by Rajamahendravaram MP and BJP State President, Mrs. Daggubati Purandeswari. During a special event on Tuesday morning, MP Purandeswari handed over advanced medical equipment, including an advanced microscope for eye surgery, and modern tools for retina and cataract surgeries, donated to Gautami Eye Hospital through a Rotary Foundation Global Grant from Rotary Greater Visakha and Rotary Club Morgantown. Dr. M. Venkateswara Rao, Rotary District Governor, graced the event as a distinguished guest. On this occasion, MP Purandeswari also visited the new building under construction for Gautami Eye Hospital, located near Virinchi Vanaprastha Ashram, on land provided by the Sringeri Peetham.Addressing the media, she lauded Dr. V.K. Raju, Chairman of Gautami Eye Hospital and President of Eye Foundation of America, for his decades of service to the field of ophthalmology, particularly in preventing blindness among children worldwide.
She expressed her heartfelt appreciation for his efforts and stated that her visit to Gautami Eye Hospital brought her immense satisfaction. She urged the public to support the hospital’s noble initiatives by contributing generously.In her remarks, Purandeswari emphasized that serving humanity is akin to serving the divine, and she was pleased with the hospital’s efforts to make advanced eye care accessible to the underprivileged.
Additionally, on the occasion of Prime Minister Modi’s birthday, the hospital organized a free meal distribution through the “Anna Canteen” to help the needy. She called on everyone to support the Prime Minister’s vision of a corruption-free administration and governance.Dr. V.K. Raju also highlighted that the youth are the backbone of the country and that with determination, India can progress in all fields. He further noted that Rotary’s unwavering support had helped achieve a polio-free society. Rotary District Governor Dr. M. Venkateswara Rao mentioned that Gautami Eye Hospital has been providing remarkable services in the field of ophthalmology for over 20 years, and as a token of appreciation, they donated advanced medical equipment worth approximately ₹60 lakhs.The event was attended by Gautami Eye Hospital Managing Director V.V.
