Medha Srinivas, the founding president of the Rashtriya Praja Congress (RPC), has strongly criticized the ongoing political drama surrounding Andhra Pradesh’s capital, comparing it to the famous Chintamani play. During a party meeting, Srinivas claimed that future generations might never witness a functional capital like Amaravati. Instead, they will only see regions like Guntur, Rajamahendravaram, Visakhapatnam, and Kurnool, which are more feasible as capital cities.
Srinivas also targeted political figures, including Pawan Kalyan, accusing him of betraying the people of Andhra Pradesh. He argued that the state’s leadership is mired in corruption, with the Amaravati project serving as a façade for massive financial mismanagement.
He urged the people of Andhra Pradesh to reject these political theatrics and focus on building a sustainable future for the state. The meeting was chaired by senior RPC member Pendyala Kamaraju, and various key figures participated.Medha Srinivas emphasized that only through proper planning can Andhra Pradesh secure a prosperous future.
