In response to heavy rainfall and disaster management warnings, District Collector P. Prasanthi directed officials to strengthen weak embankments. On Sunday, she visited Kamsalipalem village in Nidadavolu Mandal with Sub-Collector Ashutosh Srivatsava and inspected the riverbanks.
Collector Prasanthi emphasized the need for immediate precautions due to the forecasted rainfall over the next few days. She instructed the installation of sandbags at vulnerable spots and the placement of warning boards. She also advised that preparations should be in place for possible evacuations to relief centers if necessary.Sub-Collector Ashutosh Srivatsava, Tehsildar B. Nagaraju Naik, and Irrigation AE Rahul accompanied the Collector during the visit.
