Worship Clay Idols – Protect the Environment – Collector Prashanthi

East Godavari District Collector P. Prashanthi has urged the public to worship clay Ganesh idols during the Vinayaka Chavithi festival to protect the environment. Speaking at the unveiling of a poster titled “Worship Clay Idols – Protect the Environment” at her office, along with Joint Collector and others, she emphasized the importance of eco-friendly practices during the festival.Collector Prashanthi highlighted that Vinayaka Chavithi is a unique festival deeply connected with nature, encouraging the use of natural flowers, plants, and leaves for worship. She stressed that by choosing clay idols, everyone can contribute to environmental protection, unlike idols made from Plaster of Paris, which cause pollution. She called on voluntary organizations to promote the culture of worshipping clay idols widely among the public.

Joint Collector S. Chinna Ramudu also emphasized the need for everyone to adopt clay idols, as part of a collective effort to inspire others to protect the environment. The event was attended by officials, including Revenue Officer G. Narasimhulu, and representatives of the Sri Vignana Vedika organization.
