In response to the orders of East Godavari District Collector P. Prashanthi, 1,500 food packets were sent from Rajanagaram Mandal to Vijayawada to assist flood victims, informed Tahsildar L. Lavanya Veni.On Tuesday afternoon, the vehicle carrying the food was flagged off to Vijayawada, where the food packets will be distributed in the flood-affected areas.
