District Collector P. Prashanthi has highlighted the “Akira Miyawaki” initiative under the employment guarantee scheme as a valuable opportunity for promoting environmental balance and sustainability through the creation of dense microforests in rural areas.On Tuesday evening, a video conference was held from the local collectorate to review various issues, including crop booking, election household survey, revenue, and ROR mutations. Joint Collector S. Chinna Ramudu, DRDO G. Narasimha, and other mandal-level officials participated in the review.
Collector P. Prashanthi instructed the officials to ensure personal supervision of crop booking and VRO/VAO identification at the mandal level. She emphasized the need to complete the pending data and provide action plans for the 28,785 records yet to be processed from the 31,395 records.The district has completed crop booking for 2,82,579 acres (92.12%) out of the target of 3,06,754 acres. The remaining targets should be achieved by September 10. The Collector noted that the Village Agricultural Officer has completed 90.95% and the Village Revenue Officer has completed 95.15% of the authentication process, urging completion within the next 48 hours.During the review of the electoral voter list household survey, only 6,31,267 (38.86%) of the 16,24,329 voters have been identified. The Collector instructed immediate resolution of pending forms and adherence to guidelines during elections.Regarding revenue matters, Collector P. Prashanthi stressed the importance of following guidelines for mutation files and urged the completion of pending files before the next video conference.Under the employment guarantee scheme, special permissions have been granted for the “Akira Miyawaki” initiative to establish dense forest ecosystems. This project, inspired by the state government’s priorities, aims to provide 780 workdays in the first year and 350 in the second year. The Collector emphasized identifying at least 20 sites per mandal, including vacant land in schools, colleges, and community layouts.The district has achieved 37.31 lakh workdays out of the 50 lakh target, with an average of 11,200 workdays per day. The Collector expressed optimism that reaching the target is feasible if additional workdays can be arranged.The meeting was attended by Joint Collector S. Chinna Ramudu, DRDO G. Narasimha, DCO R.
