On Thursday, the minister, accompanied by Narsapuram MLA Bommidi Naik, local representatives, and officials, toured the flooded areas and encouraged the residents to remain strong.Speaking on the occasion, Minister Durgesh said that the government will aid every family affected in the flooded areas of Vijayawada.
He mentioned that once the floodwaters recede, officials will conduct a door-to-door enumeration to address the concerns of the people and take necessary measures.During his visit to Ajit Singh Nagar, the minister noted the distribution of rice, vegetables, milk, pulses, water bottles, bed packets, and bed sheets to the flood victims. He expressed deep concern over the unprecedented flooding in certain low-lying areas of Vijayawada and reassured the public that the government is fully committed to their welfare.Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu and Deputy Chief Minister Konidela Pawan Kalyan are actively reviewing the situation with officials to ensure that essential supplies such as rice, pulses, and vegetables are provided without delay. The government is also working on a proactive action plan to be prepared for any future disasters.Minister Kandula Durgesh personally distributed rice, vegetables, and drinking water to the victims while standing on a tractor truck in the Ajit Singh Nagar area.
