On September 6, 2024, Rajahmahendri Women’s College celebrated its 31st Anniversary and Freshers’ Day at Anam Kala Kendra in a grand manner. The event began with a prayer to Lord Ganesha, followed by a beautiful dance performance by the students, showcasing the Adikavi Nannaya University anthem.
The Chief Guest, former MLC Sri Adireddy Appa Rao, and the guest of honor, Board of Intermediate Education Regional Joint Director I. Sharada, along with Rajahmahendri Educational Institutions Chairman Dr. T.K. Visweshwar Reddy, S.P. Gangi Reddy, Principal Mrs. Tetali Satya Soundarya, and top-performing students Mohammad Afsan and Dharmasanam Lakshmi Lavanya, paid floral tributes to the image of Goddess Saraswati and lit the ceremonial lamp to officially commence the event.
Sri Adireddy Appa Rao emphasized the importance of encouraging children according to their interests and highlighted how Rajahmahendri Educational Institutions prioritize discipline along with education. He praised the institution’s commitment to nurturing students’ development.
Guest of honor I. Sharada lauded the efforts of Rajahmahendri Women’s College in offering disciplined education and vocational training. She encouraged students to take full advantage of these opportunities, stressing the importance of perseverance in achieving economic independence for women.
Chairman Dr. T.K. Visweshwar Reddy reflected on the establishment of the college in 1993, initially to address the growing demand for women’s education. With overwhelming support, the college expanded to include junior and postgraduate courses, and later, an international school. He proudly spoke of the college’s mission to empower women through education and vocational training, leading to many securing prestigious jobs.
Principal Dr. Tetali Satya Soundarya presented the annual report, highlighting the institution’s accomplishments and growth. Medals, trophies, and certificates were awarded to the top-performing students, including Mohammad Afsan, who excelled in the B.Sc. examinations, and Dharmasanam Lakshmi Lavanya, who achieved high marks in the Intermediate exams.The event also honored 28 students who secured first rank in their classes with the highest marks in university exams. The celebrations featured various competitions such as essay writing, elocution, quizzes, mock parliament, and sports, with prizes distributed to the winners.The cultural performances, including skits, plays, and dances by the students, captivated the audience and added a vibrant touch to the celebrations.
