Senior Congress leader Baleppalli Muralidhar, who has been serving the party in various capacities for over 40 years, has been reappointed as the Rajahmundry City Congress President for the third consecutive term by the Andhra Pradesh Pradesh Congress Committee (AP PCC) Chief, Mrs. Y.S. Sharmila Reddy. Baleppalli, who holds a postgraduate degree, entered politics under the guidance of Jakkampudi Rammohan Rao and has remained with the Congress Party, serving in multiple positions from the district level to the state level.
Recognizing his dedication and commitment to the party, Baleppalli was first appointed as the city president during the tenure of then AP PCC President Shailajanath. He was later re-elected for a second term by PCC President Gidugu Rudraraju. Now, with Mrs. Y.S. Sharmila Reddy at the helm of the PCC, Baleppalli has been entrusted with the responsibility of leading the Rajahmundry City Congress for a historic third term.This achievement makes Baleppalli the only individual to be appointed as the Rajahmundry City Congress President for three consecutive terms, marking a significant milestone within the national party. Previous leaders who have held this position include prominent figures such as Routhu Suryaprakasha Rao, Kandula Durgesh, Jakkaampudi Rammohan Rao, A.C.V.Y. Reddy, and Satyanarayana Reddy.Upon his reappointment, Baleppalli received heartfelt congratulations from Congress leaders at the state, district, and city levels.
