On Tuesday, K. Prakash Babu, Secretary of the East Godavari District Legal Services Authority and Senior Civil Judge, conducted a legal awareness seminar at Kendriya Vidyalaya High School near Rajamahendravaram. The seminar focused on the Indian Constitution and the “NALSA Scheme for Child-Friendly Legal Services to Children and Their Protection, 2015.
“During the event, Secretary Prakash Babu addressed the students, urging them to remain committed to their education and continuously expand their knowledge in various subjects.
He also cautioned against individuals who exploit children’s innocence for illegal activities. Emphasizing the need for children to be vigilant, he advised them to be aware of their surroundings and not tolerate any inappropriate behavior. He explained various laws and highlighted the legal services provided to children under the NALSA scheme, encouraging them to approach the District Legal Services Authority for any legal assistance.
Following the seminar, a review meeting was held with postal department officials. The meeting reviewed the progress of services provided by the postal department as part of the district’s free legal aid initiative. Postal staff were also briefed on the NALSA web portal, which allows citizens to apply for legal assistance directly through the portal.Postal officials and staff from the unified East Godavari district participated in the meeting.
